When it comes to becoming a great painter, I’ve learned that technical skill is only a small part of the process, the real struggle comes in training your eyes to see. If you can’t see accurately, then you’ll never paint accurately, no matter how advanced the skill.
In both art and in spiritual matters, I’ve been trying to expand my sight lately. I’ve been trying to listen to my teachers more intently. I have so much yet to learn.
Many times during the Savior’s ministry, He healed the blind. And in many ways, we come here to earth, blinded by the veil, and it is only through Him that we will ever see clearly again.
“For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I known even as also I am known.” 1 Corinthians 13:12
