A Time to Fly
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;”
Isaiah 40:31
I love Spring, and all the new beginnings that seem to accompany it: weddings, babies, graduations. It’s definitely a time of renewal and moving on. My own little family definitely has some new beginnings on the horizon, especially with the addition of another son in July. And while there is always excitement in a new start, there is also usually some hesitation. There may be risk involved, a leap of faith. You may question if it isn’t safer just to stay where you are – but you know there is no progress in being stagnant. And so I’m thankful for the knowledge that I don’t have to go through these changes alone, there is always God leading me along and recreating me in each new phase of life, helping me to take that jump when a jump is needed. I feel His gentle hand offering reassurance and building me the wings to fly.
“Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldst go.” – Isaiah 48:17
