A True Masterpiece

Since my son was born I’ve been torn between the demanding role of mother and the longing to be a painter. For so long my only focus had been developing my ability to paint and to create constantly improving paintings. It was definitely an adjustment to shift my attention to feeding, burping, and changing diapers. It actually has been kind of hard, but I know that the greatest challenges often bring the greatest blessings. And although I wouldn’t have the audacity to say that this particular painting will be my best ever, I do believe that my son, and the children that will follow will be the greatest creations that I ever take part in, my true masterpieces. And so I pray for the help of God in this most daunting venture as I learn the art of motherhood. :)
