I know this may seem like an odd title, but it’s the phrase that kept going through my head the entire time I was working on this painting. I know I may say this a lot, but honestly, this painting was ugly for so long, and I kept wondering when that magical moment would be when it would come together. I think part of the problem was that I was back to working on a gessoed panel, without the linen, which I greatly missed as it was so much harder to get soft edges. Anyways, as I kept trying to be patient, my thoughts turned to our Heavenly Father who must be so patient with us as we are “in process”. And I found myself saying a silent prayer that God would “be patient with me” and keeping working with me, until I reach that “magical moment” when I become all that He intended me to be.
