This is a series of paintings inspired by my junior high school days. It was a time when I was trying to fit in and figure out who I was, and I found the easiest way to do that was to pick a name tag that determined it for me. I was desperate for any brand name label that would give me some kind of value or status. Luckily it didn’t take too long before I found out who I really was, a daughter of God, and that I didn’t need any of those labels anymore.
