This painting was inspired by the fields surrounding my home in Johnstown, CO. I loved running through those fields on early mornings, and it was more than just exercise, while I ran I reviewed my personal progress, prayed for family members, and truly had spiritual experiences. So in this picture, the young girl has removed her shoes (a symbol of respect for ‘holy ground’) and is soaking in the rising sun while she ponders her current progress and prays for those in need.
